Today's top album is brought to you by a 13 year old Jo.

When my Auntie died, we ended up inheriting her old record player and a bunch of vinyls. By default it took pride of place in my bedroom.
My Auntie chain smoked so I had to clean sticky tar off of all the surfaces and wires. I mustn't have done a thorough job as I remember them always having a slight tackiness!
The Miracle by Queen was the very first that I played. As soon as the needle hit the vinyl, I was mesmerised.
Party was my absolute favourite song from the album. The harmonies and drums on this track were epic. I'd always have a little dance as it was the first song on there, then I'd sit myself down and watch the vinyl spin around and around as I listened to the album over and over in it's entirety, in some sort of trance. Occasionally I would skip past "The Invisible Man" as it creeped me out a little. The 13 year old me was a bit of a wet flannel.
I had inherited some of Queen's other, perhaps more universally popular, albums but non seemed to have the same effect as this particular one. It was always hold a special place in my musical soul.
